frequently asked questions

  • Are our kits beginner friendly?
Yes 100% we got you! Remember the wise words of your kindergarten teacher and just colour inside the lines. We provide you with an instructional booklet with heaps of tips and tricks to help you get started and create a beautiful pot to be proud of. Also check our our instagram for more tips.
  • Can I put my pot outside/do I need a sealer?
Yes you can, after you paint has dried for at least 24 hours. Our paints are specifically designed for our pot and provide great coverage and durability so that no sealer coat is required. We reccomend AT LEAST two coats, some lighter colours e.g. yellow may benefit from a third coat. So go on give your plant the sunshine it deserves.
  • Will I have enough paint?
100% we have made sure that you have enough paints for multiple coats, so you can get colour mixing without worries. Each kit comes with 10ml of paint in 10 different colours.
  • Where do you ship?
At the moment we are only shipping within Australia and to our neighbourinos in New Zealand, but if you are keen bean let as know and we will try to get our pot to you!
  • How long will shipping take?
When ordering a kit from us, we aim to get your order fulfilled and dispatched within 48 hours (on weekdays). We ship with Australia Post for greater reliability. Once your order has been dispatched, it should be at its new home within 7 working days. If you live a little further give us a little extra time. We will send you a tracking link via email within 24 hours of placing your order. Our free standard shipping is usually much quicker than this timeframe in major metropolitan cities and especially within Sydney!
  • How much does shipping cost?
We don’t want you to get all the way to the check out and realise you have to splash more cash than you thought so our price is inclusive of the standard shipping with Australia Post. If you chose, you can add express shipping for $10 extra.
  • What paintbrush should I use?
We provide you with four brushes, two with a more fine tip and two with a wider tip. The fine tip brushes are great for painting small, intricate details. To get a precise line clean your brush with water and a paper towel and then dip just the very tip of your brush into the paint.
  • How many coats will I need?
Don’t stress if the coverage is light or patchy on the first coat for some colours that’s what second and third coats are made for. Be patient (we know it’s hard) and let your first coat dry before applying your second and third coat. Between each coat dip your brush in a little bit of clean water and mix into your paint to avoid dried paint getting clumpy on your brush.
  • Ahhh my paint has dried out or gotten thicker what do I do?
Our paints are water based, acrylic paints so if you forgot to seal the lid properly and the paint had dried a little or the paint is a little on the thic side just add a drop or two of water and mix into the paint. Viola! P.s. acrylic paint drys fast so make sure you only squeeze out as much paint as you think you need.
  • What if I go outside the lines?
Don’t worry if you go outside of the lines! Art is about fun not perfection, either extend the shape or use the wet wipes to carefully wipe away the paint before it dries.
  • How do I keep my brushes clean?
Don't let paint dry on your paintbrushes. Clean your brush in water and then wipe the brush against a paper towel or tissue, repeat until there is hardly any colour left on the brush.
